Nickname – “Aleeximo”
Alex experienced the American Dream from the ground up. His family came to the U.S. from Romania in 1985 with almost nothing. He learned the language and excelled in high school, where he won the portfolio contest by picking ‘90s growth stocks like Qualcomm.
He enrolled at the University of Arizona and did a summer internship at Morgan Stanley, prospecting for clients for older money managers. Some days, he made 700 calls. He put on investor events himself, paying for food and drinks on his credit card. After graduating with a bachelor’s in communications with a minor in finance, he went to work as a financial advisor at Charles Schwab, then at New England Financial. He spent two-and-a-half years at Creative Planning in Pasadena before joining Bridge.
Alex and his wife, Tara live in La Crescenta, California, with their two sons. Alex is a passionate cyclist and holds a USA Cycling racing license. He teaches indoor cycling classes at the La Canada YMCA. He believes that a healthy financial life starts with a healthy body and mind.
What do you like about working at Bridge?
The people, the buzz, the energy. While we are a long-standing wealth management firm, we are creating an environment to disrupt the traditional engagement we are expected to deliver. At the end of the day we work with a lot of diverse and interesting people. That is the best part about my job.
What’s your background?
It’s quite simple, I am a Romanian immigrant that rubbed two nickels together and created a life in America providing financial guidance. I am not a rags to riches story, but I have seen perspectives on life that many in my field have not. I believe this allows me to see avenues of our business that others do not see or perceive.
What are the Bridge Advisory Core Values that drive you?
Trust and Integrity – “The glue that holds all relationships together–including the relationship between the leader and the led–is trust, and trust is based on integrity.” –Brian Tracy

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
If you clicked on my photo, I think you know. I am a cyclist a heart. I live and breathe riding a bike and being outside. I commute to work via bike more than I drive, and I love the freedom riding a bicycle allows me. Riding has always made me feel youthful, but now I get to do it with my family, especially my two boys, Xander and Enzo who, thankfully, love riding with their dad.
